Warranty, Safety & Repairs Policy

Welcome to Aota Lab (operated by "CLMNT Machinery India LLP", “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).  This Warranty, Safety & Repairs Policy outlines the warranty coverage for our Products, along with instructions for safe use, maintenance, and claim procedures.

This Policy applies to products purchased directly from AOTA Lab (online or at our Experience Center).


1. Company Information

Aota Lab is a brand based in Mumbai, India, engaged in the sale of curated home espresso machines, grinders, and coffee tools, with an offline experience center and creative lab.

2. General Warranty Terms
  • Warranty applies only to original purchasers with valid proof of purchase (invoice/order confirmation).

  • Warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use.

  • Warranty does not cover damages due to misuse, accidents, negligence, commercial use, improper maintenance, unauthorized repairs or modifications, or natural disasters.

  • Warranty is valid only within India.

  • AOTA Lab reserves the right to repair, replace, or deny a claim after inspection.

  • Replacements may be refurbished or new depending on stock availability.


3. Product-Specific Warranty Coverage
  1. Home Espresso Machines Products: Aota Gen 1 and Aota Gen 1.1

    • Warranty Period

      1 year Limited Hardware Warranty from the date of purchase.

    • What’s Covered - Manufacturing defects in internal components, electrical parts, valves, and frame.

      - Issues arising under normal domestic usage.

    • Cleaning and Servicing

      Free bi-yearly cleaning and servicing for Aota Gen 1 and Aota Gen 1.1 Home Espresso Machines.

    • What's Not Covered - Damage due to lack of regular cleaning, descaling, or improper water quality.

      - Use of non-compatible or unapproved accessories.

      - Electrical damage caused by unstable power supply or use without a surge protector

      - Misuse, abuse, or commercial use.

      - Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly or modification.

      - Accidental physical damage, drops, accidents, or non-domestic use.

      - Cosmetic wear and tear unless arrived damaged on delivery.

  2. Home Coffee Grinders Products: Aota AO 1

    • Warranty Period

      1 year Limited Hardware Warranty from the date of purchase.

    • What’s Covered - Manufacturing defects in the motor, burr assembly, and electrical components.

      - Issues arising under normal domestic usage.

    • What's Not Covered - Damage due to foreign objects (stones, metal, hard objects) entering the grinder. - Use of wet or oily beans not suited to home grinders.

      - Electrical damage caused by unstable power supply or use without a surge protector - Misuse, abuse, or commercial use.

      - Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly or modification.

      - Accidental physical damage, drops, accidents, or non-domestic use.

      - Cosmetic wear and tear unless arrived damaged on delivery.


  3. Smart Coffee Scales Products: Tare Pro. Tare Metallic and Tiny Tare.

    • Warranty Period

      1 year Limited Hardware Warranty from the date of purchase.

    • What’s Covered - Manufacturing defects in sensors, PCB, and display. - Malfunction under normal use.

    • What's Not Covered

      - Damage due to liquids entering the scale. - Electrical damage caused by unstable power supply while charging.

      - Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly or modification.

      - Accidental physical damage, drops, accidents, or non-domestic use.

      - Cosmetic wear and tear unless arrived damaged on delivery.


4. Warranty Claim Process
  1. Email us at connect@aotalab.com with:

    • Order ID / Invoice

    • Product model

    • Photos/videos of the issue

    • A brief description of the problem

  2. Our team will review the claim and may request further information.

  3. If approved, you will be instructed on:

    • Service center drop-off OR

    • Shipping the product (AOTA covers return shipping for valid warranty issues).

  4. Depending on the product & issue:

    • A repair will be attempted first

    • If irreparable, a replacement will be issued


5. Out-of-Warranty Service

For issues outside warranty coverage, AOTA Lab offers paid service and repairs, subject to part availability for all current and discontinued products. Please follow the "Warranty Claim Process" but mention that it is a Out-of-Warranty Product. A quote will be provided before any repair is done.


6. Product-Specific Safety & Maintance Tips
  1. Home Espresso Machines Products: Aota Gen 1 and Aota Gen 1.1 - Regularly descale using recommended descaling solutions. - Use RO or soft water with TDS between 50–150 ppm.

    - Do not block vents or operate in damp environments.

    - Always unplug before cleaning.


  2. Home Coffee Grinders Products: Aota AO 1 - Ensure beans are dry and clean. - Do not grind spices, nuts, or flavored items. - Clean burrs regularly using soft brushes.

  3. Smart Coffee Scales Products: Tare Pro. Tare Metallic and Tiny Tare. - Keep the scale dry; avoid water contact. - Do not overload beyond rated capacity. - Store away from extreme temperatures.



7. Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

Our Exchanges & Return Policy explains your rights and obligations regarding returns, cancellations, and refunds.



8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These polices are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. Failing that, they will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.



9. Policy Updates

We may update or modify this Policy at any time. The latest version will always be available on our Website. Continued use after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
