Welcome to Aota Lab (operated by "CLMNT Machinery India LLP", “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Returns & Exchanges Policy ("Policy") is issued in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and outlines your rights and obligations regarding product returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Aota Lab is a brand based in Mumbai, India, engaged in the sale of curated home espresso machines, grinders, and coffee tools, with an offline experience center and creative lab.

2. Eligibility for Returns
Returns are accepted only in cases of manufacturing defects or damage during transit.
Products must be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused, and in their original packaging with all accessories.
Proof of purchase (invoice/order confirmation) is required.
3. Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for:
Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper handling.
Products used for commercial purposes.
Customized or special-order products.
Consumable items (if any, e.g. coffee beans, cleaning tablets).
Pre-order items once confirmed.
4. Exchanges
If a product is defective or damaged on arrival, we will offer either:
A replacement unit, subject to availability, or
An exchange for another product of equal value, if mutually agreed.
5. Refunds
If a return is approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method only.
Refunds will be initiated within 5–7 working days in line with RBI guidelines.
Processing times may vary depending on your bank/payment provider.
6. Damaged or Lost Packages
If your package arrives damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the product and packaging.
For lost shipments, we will coordinate with our courier partners to investigate and resolve the issue.
7. Cancellations
Pre-orders: Once confirmed, cancellations are accepted prior shipment.
Standard orders: May be cancelled prior to shipment by contacting us. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible.
8. Return Shipping
For approved returns due to defects or transit damage, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
For all other cases (where applicable), customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
